Harvest Christian Montessori Daycare (Harvest CMD) follows the educational methods founded by Dr. Maria Montessori. These methods are based on children’s scientific observations from birth to adulthood and are a test through time method of Dr. Montessori’s. These methods surpassed 100 years of success in various generations and diverse cultures worldwide. It is a view of the child as they are naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. It is an approach that values the child’s development—physical, social, emotional, and one another through a spectrum of ages and skills, and it is this type of learning that fosters teamwork and empathy. The Montessori approach is about a child’s emotional, social development as it is his academic skills. Using this approach, children at Harvest CMD learn to think critically, work collaboratively, and make good choices.

Mission Statement:
To provide a full-day, Montessori early childhood learning experience that is nurturing, educationally rich, developmentally appropriate, and faith-based.

We engage children in purposeful work that engenders a love of learning. We foster and nurture the skills necessary to help our children to work autonomously and collaboratively.
