I started my child care career right out of high school while working at local daycares. After college, I was hired as a nanny in 2016. I was with that family until the children became school age, a year later. I moved on from child care to work retail but my heart really wanted to work with children again. In 2019, I was hired as a nanny for the family I am currently working for. They welcomed me into their home and I helped them raise their daughter. My husband and I currently have a 3 month old son that I take to work with me. The family I work for will be (with a heavy heart) letting me go at the end of April. They are expecting their second child and the mother will be leaving her job to be a stay at home mom. I would love to find another family to nanny for, however I would like for them to allow me to have my son accompany me.
