I have always enjoyed working with children. I currently work as an a Lifestyle lDirector at an assisted living in Santa Rosa. I plan and implement daily activities to assist with maintaining memory for aging seniors as well as their social and psychological well being. We go on outings with up to 12 residents I take by myself. and drive the bus for the outings. I am used to planning educational activities, and I have no problem helping with homework homeschooling projects, whatever the child may need. Working with seniors has been great. However, they pass frequently and it’s difficult when you get close to them. I want to start working with children again, seeing them grow and learn is very rewarding.

I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. I have worked with children with down syndrome, autism and adults with developmental disabilities. I worked at Emory for 24 years in Atlanta as a Recreation therapist, and I’ve raised my own three children as a single mom. I was a nanny out of college and took take care of twin boys 14 months old as well. as a four year-old with severe down syndrome, and a four-year-old with nonverbal autism. I assisted with their therapy and took them to their therapy appointments.
