My name is Mckenzie, but I like to go by Kenzie. I currently live with my 72 year old grandfather taking care of him. I got into nursing a few weeks after I moved in with him. I gained excellent experience from it. I trained for CPR and for my CNA and my PCA. There were simple issues that made it not work out, but I still feel the need to do my part and help those who can’t quite take care of themselves. That’s my passion in life. I grew up in a household with my mom and my stepdad as well as seven sisters. I am the third oldest of all of us. I started being able to watch them by myself at the age of 12. I’ve experienced many different kinds of personalities and attitudes. My oldest sister has three children herself. Their ages range from 1 month- 5 years old. I find it mind blowing they way kids catch onto things and learn in their own ways. Watching them create their personalities and becoming who they are is simply outstanding to me. I cherish spending time with my nephews. We do crafts a lot, read books, teach them their aunts’ names, watch educational videos about numbers/letters/words, etc. We also love making craft snacks. I am also very attentive. Sometimes over attentive because kids and safety together makes my nerves go way up. Especially if their in my care and my responsibility. That would be my biggest struggle, finding a nanny who I know will keep my children safe. Children’s creativity can be simply mesmerizing. Children deserve the world and it truly gets under my skin knowing I can help and not doing my part. I am capable of providing the proper care for children and I love doing so.
