Hello! My name is MacKenzie Christopher, and I’m currently studying Horticulture with a minor in Sustainable Local Foods at South Dakota State University. I’ll be graduating this December (2025).
You might be wondering why I’m applying for a nanny or caretaker position. The answer is simple: I genuinely love working with kids and supporting families. I enjoy creating fun, safe, and engaging environments where children can learn, laugh, and grow. Whether it’s reading stories, exploring outdoors, or doing crafts and games, I find joy in helping children discover new things each day.
I’m passionate about childhood development and have taken several college courses to deepen that passion. I’m also committed to ensuring that children participate in age-appropriate activities and have the structure they need to grow developmentally.
I have experience caring for children through both babysitting and educational settings, and I hope to one day open a nature-based preschool or outdoor camp in the Cedar Rapids area where kids can learn through exploration and play.
