I finally found my purpose in working with children when I began my journey to gaining my associate's degree in 2018. I've always been great with kids, being that I'm compassionate so I can find ways to relate to them by meeting them where they are. During my practicum, I worked with ages 1 through 4 at an early headstart center. I've also worked with children ages 3 through 12 as a childcare assistant and also two children ages 1.5 and 4 as a nanny. In all of these positions I came up with age appropriate and creative activities to aid in helping children learn larger concepts and also was responsible for planning and preparing meals/snacks, cleaning, and other things such as changing diapers and potty training, cleaning and dressing wounds, and transportation.
