I'm Colette! Around 2 years ago, I relocated to Spring Hill for a fresh start. I am originally from Queens, NY and have been caring for children since I was around 15 years old. The summer before high school, I started my childcare career as a summer camp counselor for elementary aged children. From there, I worked numerous summer camp jobs while I was still in school. I moved on to the Department of Education in New York City to become a school aide for an elementary school P.S.186. There, I had experience with all ages from VPK to 6th grade. After that, I started with a family that I absolutely adore still to this day! I was private nannying in their home for their 3 children aged 2, 3, and 7. I grew with them over the course of 3 years and they are like my second family now! I was with that family all through the pandemic making sure all 3 children got their education as well as fun free time! We spent so many days doing fun activities like going to the park, zoos, aquariums, you name it. Even though I live far away now, we still plan vacations together and regularly FaceTime each other to catch up with the kids! My favorite things about them were even though they were all from the same family, each child had their own unique personality and it was awesome to be their caregiver and watch them grow throughout the years.
About me personally, I love to travel. Weekend trips are my expertise. I love to see and experience new things! I love the beach, sunshine and the warm weather so Florida was the place for me. I love to just relax on my hammock, enjoy an audiobook and spend time with my dog who I consider my child. My family and I are super close and I visit and speak with them as often as I can. Family is very important to me. Overall, I just want to be comfortable and enjoy life and all it has to offer.
