Hi my name is Cierra!
Thank you for sharing an opportunity to serve your family. I was born and raised and New Orleans, La. CIty of Jazz . It is no stranger to seafood and home of french beignets, locally called Cafe Du Monde!  Growing up my family did foster care. My mom came from very broken home which gave her compassion for other kids experiencing abuse and poverty. She very much wanted to have a safe place for kids. From the age of 2, I've had brothers or sisters. Often the kids had experienced trauma and neglect. Our family loved the kids and made them feel as if they were our own. As I got older I began to help with homework and prepare meals. Our family had been blessed. It was a joy to serve the kids that came to US. Some came with nothing and other kids came with everything. But no matter the circumstance we treated each child the same. I later pursued nursing to work with kids who have cancer. I quickly realized I could not stomach injections and a lot of blood. I switched to Family Studies. I realized I could still serve kids and families through counseling and social services. I later pursued my masters in counseling. For the past 2 years I have worked at an elementary school and served kids from Kindergarten- 5th grade.  When I am not at school, I usually enjoy a good movie, music, and trying different foods!!
My mom and dad instilled in me early a sense of serving and also respecting those around me. For that I am grateful . It is something that has never left me! I would love to come and help. Whether it is helping with the kids, household chores, or caring for the pets, I am willing to serve your family however is needed.
