Brianna S.

Hello, my name is Brianna! I am currently a junior at FSU majoring in Elementary Education. My dream is to be a K-2 teacher, and eventually become a prinicpal! I am bilingual, being fluent in both English and Spanish. I have always loved working with children as I enjoy building connections and being a part of their life. I have worked with children in tutoring sessions, summer camps, after school care programs, and I babysat for friends and family on various occasions growing up in the city of Miami, FL.

I grew up helping my family care for my niece and nephew, aged 1 and 3, introducing me to experience with infants and toddlers. I was previously a student OPS assistant at an afterschool care program where I worked with children in grades K-5. I gained a great amount of experience from this job doing enrichment activities and participating in events for the entire program. I enjoyed engaging with my students, playing tag around the playground, joining a soccer game on the field, and playing multiplayer video games. I am also experienced with older children and middle school aged children as I had several volunteers under my supervision within the same program. I am now currently a nanny and/or babysitter, with toddler experience. I have no problem with aiding in extra responsibilities such as transportation to and from school, extracurricular activities, tutoring, and any other household chores like laundry, etc.

I take pride in providing children with a safe and comforting environment. I ensure that there is proper supervision and make an effort to prevent any risk that could occur. Even beyond safety, I want children to feel comfortable with me, and enjoy the time we spend together. I am also comfortable swimming, as I spent all my life swimming in the pool in my backyard, or the ocean.

A fun fact about me is that I have a dog who lives with me named Bailey. I love all animals and am comfortable with any pets. I am an avid reader, always looking for a new book to dive into. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, always finding a new errand to run together, and I love to find new adventures.
