I have dedicated many years to working with children, both through babysitting for the past eleven years and teaching elementary students. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which has strengthened my understanding of child development, learning styles, and how to create nurturing, structured environments where children thrive.

I truly love working with kids — their energy, curiosity, and joy are what make this work feel so meaningful to me. Supporting their growth, helping them feel confident, and building genuine connections with them is something I value deeply.

I recently chose to transition out of the traditional classroom simply because I’m looking for a role that allows for more personal, one-on-one connection with children and a better balance for my own family. Becoming a nanny allows me to continue doing what I love while creating a calm, supportive environment where children can learn, play, and feel cared for.

• Former fifth-grade teacher with five years of professional teaching experience in Davenport Community School District.
• Expert in child development, behavior management, and creating structured routines that help kids feel safe and supported.
• Tier 2 reading and math interventionist, experienced in helping children who need extra academic support.
• Skilled in social-emotional learning, building strong relationships, and supporting kids through challenges with patience and empathy.
• Mother to a three-year-old daughter, giving you real, everyday insight into developmental stages, emotional needs, and nurturing care.
• CPR and first-aid familiar (I can adjust this if you’re certified).
• Strong communication skills with both children and parents, ensuring everyone feels heard and supported.
• Experienced in maintaining routines for meals, naps, homework, play, and bedtime.
• Comfortable managing multiple children at once and keeping a calm, positive environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable, with a consistent 9–5 Monday–Friday availability and some weekends if needed.
