Program Vickie’s Daycare, operated by Victoria Salvatierra in San Jose, I provide a small, loving family daycare experience with no more than 8 children in care at a time. I follow a project-based, play-based approach that includes preschool curriculum, outdoor activities, field trips, and homework help for school-age children. I care for infants through preschoolers and limit infant enrollment to one at a time to ensure focused, attentive care. All meals are included, along with diapers and wipes until age 3½, and I partner closely with families on potty training. I also offer transportation and school pick-up, with flexible full-time, part-time, and drop-in care available seven days a week from early morning to late evening.
Location Vickie’s Daycare is located in my cozy townhome in San Jose, where I’ve created a safe, welcoming environment that feels like a second home for children. The space is designed for both learning and play, with areas for structured activities as well as free exploration. Children enjoy daily outdoor time and opportunities for supervised field trips, helping them stay active and engaged. I also provide transportation and school pick-up for local families, making schedules easier to manage. As a small family daycare, my home offers a calm, familiar setting where children can build strong connections and feel comfortable, secure, and cared for throughout their day.
Teachers I’m Victoria Salvatierra, owner and operator of Vickie’s Daycare, and I’ve been proudly serving families for 23 years. I hold an associate degree and am certified in CPR and First Aid. I run a small, home-based program so I can give each child the attention, care, and consistency they need to feel safe and supported. My approach is warm, structured, and hands-on, helping children learn, explore, and build confidence at their own pace. I have extensive experience with infants through preschoolers, including potty training, and I work closely with parents to create a strong partnership that supports each child’s development.
