Our philosophy embraces the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. We value children's natural ability to learn and construct their own knowledge based on their interests and experiences. Within the program's daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, explore, problem solve, and practice personal interaction skills, learning concepts through a balance of self and teacher directed activities. We (the parents and teacher) are partners in the children's care and education.We use the Reggio Approach to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program.Our program is unique because we honor the image of the child as a competent and developing person. The Mixed age group offers social learning through nurturing role models and opportunities to follow and to lead. Natural materials and individual learning activities fill the day. Children explore and discover following their interests and developmental needs. One infant in care at a time provides focused caregiver interactions and relationship building so important to early brain development.
