Aunt Chrissy's Daycare

Aunt Chrissy's Daycare helps children learn and develop by promoting independence. The children are encouraged to experiment and learn throughout the day by free play and teacher directed activities. I have created a program that encourages the child's overall development in all domains of learning including: Cognitive, Social/Emotional, Language and Literacy, and Physical and Motor Development. I use the Zoophonics curriculum plus my own to plan for and support children's early learning in my program. I incorporate music, art, stories, math, games, cooking and science in each theme based unit. We have many teachable moments throughout the day. I also teach sign language to the infants and toddlers. My program is unique because child care is my chosen profession. I love my job. I believe that the early years of a child's life are the most important. It is at this time that they are learning about themselves and the world around them. I provide a safe, secure and loving environment for the children in my care.
