Get Smart Group Family Day Care is looking for a caring, compassionate an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher who has experience caring for children ages six weeks to 6 years.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, which may include toddlers and/or preschool age children; develops partnerships with birth parents/child’s caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in program.

EDUCATION

·       High School Diploma

·       Must have EITHER

2 years of paid or unpaid experience caring for children under 6 years of age (including your own)  OR

1 year of paid or unpaid experience caring for children under 6 years of age and 6 hours of training or an education in early childhood development

Must be Covid-19 vaccinated (Mandatory)

Hello, my name is Trisha and I am available to provide nanny care to families in the Peru, IL area. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies. My career experience thus far has been: Direct Support Professional (DSP) to adults with intellectual disabilities. I moved up to an QIDP/Case Manager for 16 individuals with varying intellectual disabilities. I had one year experience working directly with a young adult with visual and hearing impairments. I taught daily living skills and provided community outings. The last 5 years, I have been a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to young children on the Autism Spectrum. I am currently CPR/First Aid certified. I am shifting into becoming a professional career nanny. I have three experiences working directly with families on an as-needed/part-time basis. Days needed are Tuesday through Friday from 12pm to 5pm. I have a middle school student that would be home around 4pm but does not need the care, just there usually doing her homework or chores.
