I am the oldest child in my family with 7, 14, and 18 years between the rest of my siblings and I. Since I was a child myself I have been essentially a third parent in the home providing an extra pair of helping hands to both sets of my parents when needed, whether that be cooking for my siblings, getting them ready for school or bed, homework help, or just watching them staying with and providing a watchful eye throughout the day. I have a strong connection with other people's children usually being that I'm so used to being around younger kids regularly and if there are a set of household rules and schedules in place I make sure I am applying that to me watching the children.
