Profile As the oldest child who grew up in a single-parent family home, I was mainly responsible, beside my mother, for caring for my youngest brother and cousins. I became knowledgeable on how to supervise young children in terms of their school activities, meal plans, and play schedule. Because of this nurturing experience in my upbringing, I dwelled on related career paths which propelled me into a pediatric nurse practitioner career. I believe a nanny position can prepare me further in my pursuit of being a pediatric nurse practitioner by reinstating valuable lessons such as multitasking and a nourishing leadership role. Another aspect of nannying I am passionate about is interacting closely with the children, as well as connecting with parents. Likewise, being a nanny will also supply me with a level of knowledge about how children operate that, like most college students, cannot gain through the undergraduate experience alone.”
