Growing up I spent most of my time and days at my grandmothers house, who had a licensed daycare and still does to this day. Since I can remember and was able to, I have always helped her daycare in anyway I possibly could. I would help with the food and snacks, potty train and change diapers, help with nap time, along with creating and teaching many creative activities for the kids. My grandma didn’t know much english so I would always read the kids book, teach them new things, and help them with homework. I have always been extremely passionate and naturally gifted with the ability to help and take care of any child in my care. In my youth I usually worked and cared for children from as young as newborns to about age 6 or seven. Recently I worked at an after school program where I worked with older kids, and gained even more experience with teaching and leading, rather than babysitting/ daycare skills. It was a good learning experience that i’m so greatful for because it helped me learn more and gain a better understanding for older children, while also furthering my teaching and leadership skills. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I am, and have always been naturally drawn to taking care of all kids as much as I can and I genuinely do love it as well.
