Mia A.

I was born and raised in the Bahamas. My dad has always owned a Christian youth sports camp down there. For all of my life I have been involved in the camp as the Creative Arts Director and a camp counselor. I’ve been a camp counselor for kids and teenagers ranging from 8-18. I love helping young ones not just by looking after them, but pouring into them as a person as well!
I studied Psychology, along with Child and Developmental Psychology for 2 years in college. I love kids and I love assisting in their growth in any way possible!
I have a big family of 6 kids! For as long as I can remember, I’ve been helping take care of my siblings. When you come from a big family, like myself, you quickly learn how to work with kids well! I’ve had various baby sitting jobs throughout my life outside of family as well.
I’ve also had 2 jobs as a Swim Instructor for kids! I’ve been teaching kids how to swim since I was about 13.
I am currently a student at Aveda Institute to be an Esthetician Full Specialist… that is what brought me to South Florida. I am looking for a part-time job to work the days I’m not in school.
I consider myself to be a very calm and down to earth person. My mom has always described me as a peacemaker.
