Profile Hear me out I am a mother of a 26-year-old Navy Sailor, but before she was a Sailor, I spent 18 years teaching her the ways of the world. Because she had and has a learning disability, I worked diligently to make sure that she was afforded the opportunity that children her age was given. Through nurturing and persistence, she was labeled a genius by her teachers and school staff. On top of that from 1992 to 2013 I cared for my mother who was limited in mobility.
