I've cared for children all of my life, starting in my teens as a babysitter in my hometown of International Falls, Minnesota. After earning my Elementary Education degree from UM-Duluth, I was a K-12 teacher in both the Duluth and Fond du Lac tribal school systems for five years in Fond du Lac school systems for five years. In addition, I was a Kinderski instructor for 5 years at both Lutsen Mountains and Spirit Mountain.
After my fifth year of teaching, I bought a house and opened a Licensed Daycare business in West Duluth, which I operated for six years. I cared for 14 children aged 0 to 13, and loved every minute! :)
Once I had my first daughter, I worked in various educational and administrative roles within the Superior School system and other settings.
My younger daughter just graduated high school and turned 18 this week - so now I am looking for new opportunities to help families with their kiddos!
Career Childcare worker with 40+ years of experience caring for children of all ages. Former Licensed Daycare owner in Duluth, Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from UM-Duluth, and have raised two amazing daughters of my own. Long list of local references available. :)
