Hey there guys!
My name is Kayla. I know shopping for a decent "babysitter/nanny" is strange and hard when you don't know anyone! As a mom myself to my 10-year-old daughter, Hailey, I completely get it!
But here's a little about myself:
My daughter Hailey is my world. She's student school president of the entire elementary school that she goes to, she's in basketball which just ended for the season, and she's just an all out awesome and well-behaved kid. Even in her hardest moments, it's easy to just compromise with her and meet her half way with life's struggles and dealing with my rules. Other than that, I just let her live and our house is so wholesome to live in because of it all!
I'm 33 years old and I live in Vestal, NY. I love having bonfires with my family, working, and watching football with my family. We love doing tons of things like berry picking, concerts, playing tennis, arts and crafts at the house, pumpkin carving, gardening, cooking/cook-outs, working on the cars we have with basic maintenance, and tons of other things with our free time. I have a very active family that always wants to do new things. I have 4 cats named Michael, Onyx, Chibbs, and Kahlua. I've had many exotic pets but I prefer my dogs and cats.
I'm currently in part time online schooling at Broome Community College. I go to school currently for my Associates in Health Sciences and later would like to go to school for either Early Childhood Education or Pre-Veterinarian Medicine. I recently resigned from my job as a phlebotomist for years and other jobs that make me a jack of all trades.
I have a very reliable car to get me from where ever I have to go, and am willing to run any errands if needed in nanny work for you and your family if need be.
I have plenty of experience with working with infants and kids of all ages. All 4 years I was in High School at Union-Endicott, I helped watched kids during the summer and afternoons during the school year almost every single day at a certified childcare center near my parents. Then, I've had more than enough experience watching my friends and family's kids of all ages when they've needed them to be watched in a pinch (which has happened countless times and I absolutely love it when I find out I get to spend time with the kiddos and keeping them busy and happy until their parents get home). I also worked in the medical field for years with kids in the Emergency Room and all over our local hospital from attaining vitals, blood draws, and any needed work directly related to babies, kids, and teens. I also worked with kids with eye care work to assist our pediatric optician we had see very young patients. I'm super easy to get along with and would loved to be involved more with this work and develop a great sense of loyalty and help in services with parents like you who may have a hard time and serious fear of being able to find someone (especially a total stranger) who is trustworthy and reliable to watch and protect and keep an eye on your kiddos while you're gone or even when your in and out of the home or whatever the need may be! -worked for 4 years in a certified in house daycare in high school.
-been a mother myself for 10 years.
-babysit friends and families kids all my life.
-worked with kids when I was an eye care technician with a pediatric eye doctor.
-worked in other fields of medical all related to detailed human health, including child health.
-currently going to college for health studies and later on, early childhood education.
