Hello, my name is Katie Berta and I am a fourth year student at CSU majoring in biomedical sciences. I started working with kids when I was 14 in multiple capacities. Throughout high school I was a swim lessons instructor, babysitter, lead swim coach and lifeguard. During that time in Illinois, I was continually babysitting for around 12-15 families. As I moved to Colorado for school, I became a CNA to get clinical experience, as my goal is to become a gynecologist. I recently left that job and have missed being around kids! Between all of my jobs at the pool and being a CNA at a nursing home, as well as a hospital, I have flourished in the area of caregiving. I have my own transportation, CPR certification, BLS certification and feel very comfortable taking care of children near water.
I have a passion for kids, and would love to get back into childcare after taking a break to be a CNA.
