Profile I've been working with children for the past six years in a variety of environments. A large portion being within schools, as a reading tutor during college, a teaching assistant with the Tucson Unified School District and recently with a tutoring company where I traveled to different schools. Working within various school districts I have had a close look at the Arizona State curriculum standards and even had the opportunity to work closely with an elementary school in Oberlin Ohio on how to improve the curriculum to increase their overall School rated score. With an even temperament, I am comfortable in a fast paced environment and remain calm under pressure and during crises. I have a passion for working with kids, something that I discovered early on in my schooling. I find that they teach me just as much as I teach them. Whenever I am working with the youth I set out to be someone who they can look to for comfort and understanding as well as someone to listen to.
