Profile I grew up watching my younger sister and her friends when they'd play outdoors, alongside caring for babies in my church’s nursery alongside my mom. When I entered high school, my parents had friends with young children who needed a sitter, and I volunteered! At first, I didn't feel the need to get paid, but as I developed a close relationship with the family, I became their regular sitter for 3 years till I left for college. When I return home during breaks, they are among the first to know if they need me. Also, my aunt and uncle hired me as a part-time nanny for their infant during COVID-19, and I was also paid for that. I would work as a doula, making sure she was fed, changed, and cared for throughout the night so that her parents could rest well. They lived in the city, so I would leave in the evening and return back home around 6/7am.
