Hello, My name is Evelyn Martinez; I go by Evee. I am twenty-three years old, located in Bell Gardens, California, and I live with my family. I recently Graduated from the University of Dominguez Hills, where I got my Bachelor of Arts in child development. I am certified in adult and pediatric CPR and plan to return to school to get my early childhood teaching credential in January 2025. After the credentialing program, I want to get my master's in special education. My career goal is to be a special education teacher for early childhood education. I am patient, kind, and welcoming of all backgrounds and family dynamics. I am passionate about early education and human development.
I have two years of experience teaching infants and toddlers. I have a year of experience in babysitting. I babysit my neighbor's 11-year-old daughter and her five-year-old brother. I would arrive at their house at nine am and leave at five pm because that was their mother's schedule. When I arrive, I will prepare them for their day, which includes getting dressed, eating breakfast, and brushing their teeth. They live across the street from their school; I would walk them to school and pick them up. When they got home from school, I would give them dinner, and after dinner, I would help them with their homework. After homework, we would play outside until their mom came home. This was our school during the week.
During the weekend, their mom worked with the same schedule. I would arrive, get them ready, and do breakfast. After breakfast, we watched TV for an hour. Then we played outside for 30 minutes and then had a snack. Then, we would color/draw for 30 minutes. Then we would play board games or video games; they got to choose. Then we will do lunch, and after lunch, the five-year-old will nap for an hour. His sister and I would watch movies. We would also work on reading and writing. Numbers and alphabet and I would help the sister with whatever she was struggling with in school. Then their mom got home.
