I am the oldest sister out of four kids and have had to take care of them since 13, as well as babysitting my partners niece and nephews (they also love me).
I listen to children, let them feel understood, but I also don't let them take advantage of my understanding. I feel child inter-dependency is important, just as independency is important, so if they are able to, I will have them help me with chores and tasks I feel safe with them aiding me in. I also loooove reading to kids of any age. It was definitely a milestone in my childhood, so I'll keep it going to any child who wants to be read to as well. I love Bluey, have two puppers, and wish to have my own kids someday.
