I have raised my brother and sisters since birth. My mom was a pediatric nurse at Oak Park Hospital.I was a candy stripper for years.I enjoyed watching the little kids in the daycare and visiting with the children on the floor.I became a big sister to a lot of the girls in my community who had no one to look up to.Helped with homework, tutoring, cooking lessons,dance lessons, helped with school projects and much more.While i was a teenager i became the community go to babysitter and to this day i stay in contact with a lot of the kids i watched. Today i currently help a family who has an adult female with down syndrome.I have been helping her since 2010.Her parents trust their daughter in my care. I prepare meals for her,take her to appointments,continue her education because she is out of high school now.We go on walks to help with circulation. Taking care of kids is my life just to see the smile on their faces makes the day so much better.I am a mom to 2 amazing kids my son is 3 and my daughter is 6.I am a mom before anything and that makes for a great caregiver.
