Hello! My name is Dakota, and I’m a Psychology major at University of North Carolina at Asheville. This fall, I’ll be interning at Asheville Middle School, where I’m excited to continue working with and supporting children.
I have experience working with kids through roles as a swim coach and camp counselor for ages 10–13, as well as caring for younger children through babysitting. Most recently, I provided occasional care for a 1-year-old and an 8-year-old until their family relocated. Working with children is something I’m truly passionate about, and I hope to continue it as part of my future career in psychology.
I strive to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, encouraged, and cared for. I’m responsible, patient, and dependable, and I’m happy to help with everything from playtime and activities to homework, routines, and everyday care.
