I'm certainly not the golden child of babysitters by any means. But to me, having ANY part in helping to raise and take care of the future generations of this planet is an opportunity that would mean a lot to me.
I have a step son and spent a lot of time around my grandparents while they were raising my three cousins.
I had my childhood ripped away from me, and being able to share the beauty of childhood with someone else makes me feel like I can give to a child what was taken away from me.
Be it watching shows that they will cherish the memories of forever, giving them that piece of advice that will carry on into their teenage and adult life, telling them stories, or even just being their ear to talk to.
To me, being able to help raise a healthy mind is key to helping a child live their best life and to become their greatest version.
Again, I'm certainly no king or queen of babysitters. But I will always have a child's back when and where I can. ✌
