I am a great teacher and caregiver! I love children and I love their curiosity! As an educator for over 13 years, I have played multiple roles in the lives of my students; a teacher at face value, but also a mother at times, a mentor, a nurse, a friend, a therapist, you name it! Working in charter schools where children attend school for long hours, I have had to wear many hats! I also spent some time babysitting one of my students whose parents I became really connected with. I made sure homework was done, he was fed, that he read and practiced math facts, that we played games and did fun activities, that we cleaned up the space we used, and that he affirmed himself every chance he got. I am huge on affirmations! I think the most important thing any child can have is belief in themselves and their worth. I also created and founded an afterschool program called GREATNESS, that awakens creativity, ignites artistic fire and breeds innovative power within every child who attends! I love to swim, bike, and kayak! I am extremely energetic and can play all day! I also can create a very structured environment for any child that thrives in that way!
