She would get our toddler to play quietly and hold our baby in what I referred to as “her magical way.” She would patiently hold our newborn on her chest, patting him and gently supporting his head. He would relax and then fall asleep. It was also a great way for our newborn to get a little gentle tummy time and help reduce pressure on his head shape. She could hold him for a long time like that. She's exceedingly patient and talked quietly and gently with our children. She had a very soothing presence that had a wonderful effect on our toddler and baby. Amber was attentive to using the parenting methods we asked her to do, which we appreciated. She also actually liked to do our dishes, and it was so nice to come home to a serene house with a clean kitchen! We are so grateful to her and her gentle and patient nannying.
