I was raised in the Magic Valley so this is the only life I know! I have lived in Jerome & graduated from Jerome high School in 2022. I've had experience working with children for about 5 years now and have been so blessed to meet so many children & families. During my senior year in high school I took on a job shadowing opportunity with an elementary school counselor & it really helped shape my passion towards working with children. I got to meet and learn from a lot of different children in grades K-3rd from a different perspective than most people do. My love & strong care for wanting to work with children started that year then grew even more once I started college. I began college going for my associates in Social Work & got a job at the CSI Refugee Center (now USCRI Twin Falls). I started out working as a teacher in their after school program with the elementary aged children and I truly believe thats when my patience & resilience began developing. I worked in that program for about a year & would help out in the middle school class as well. I grew more social skills by assisting with home visits and being a point of contact with families from all kinds of backgrounds. I was even able to become a program assistant for the teenagers and really enjoyed being able to be a role model for them. Unfortunately once the center moved over to be more government affiliated a lot of programs got shut down due to funding. I ended up becoming a reading tutor through AmeriCorps for one whole school year & tutored K-3rd graders by helping with their fluency, rate and expression. I felt so fortunate to be able to be the first one to see growth and see the childrens reaction when they got a boost of confidence in reading. During 2024-2025 when I wasn't tutoring I was babysitting on the side and had a lot of fun doing it! Throughout the years I've met so many wonderful individuals & families that I have had so much pleasure serving.
