Laresha P.
I have been working with young children for over 20 years. I began my career working in a Child Development Center. I absolutely loved to work in classrooms with children under 5, my most favorite age group was working in the toddler classrooms. My coworker and I took care of 12 two year olds. My passion for educating young children showed in the work that I did in my classrooms. I became known as the “Toddler Whisperer”. Working in child care classrooms for many years allowed me to become an expert in creating a warm and welcoming classroom. I also became an expert in play based learning and providing age appropriate, developmentally appropriate learning activities for young children of all ages. Throughout my career, I have been an Assistant Teacher, Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, School Age Coordinator, Summer Camp Director, Early Head Start Coordinator, Family and Child Development Specialist, Behavioral Health Technician and a Child Advocate. I am a mandated reporter and take the safety and well-being of young children very seriously. I currently have updated background checks and clearances. I also hold a current Adult, Child and Infant First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
