Lelianie M.
My mother and her three sisters are nanny's. You could say the characteristics of what makes a great caregiver runs in the family. My professional background is primarily in healthcare (dentistry) and accounting. However, I am looking for a change and feel my personal qualities, early background in childcare, and recent experience in healthcare would be useful in a nanny position.
In high school and college I worked for the Chicago Park District as a Camp Recreation Leader. I was responsible for the 5 and 6 year group (20 kids). I also would babysit on weekends for my mothers clients when needed. It was the only time in my life when work did not really feel like work.
I play the piano, am a classically trained singer, and am also trained in dance. Should your child need help practicing any of these subjects.
I believe a nanny is more than just a job. It is becoming a part of your families day to day life. My mother has been a nanny for 30 years. The families she worked with are family to me. We have seen them go off to college and attended their weddings. Being a nanny means being someone your kids know they can rely on. To me it is by far the most important and rewarding job one could have.
CPR and First Aid training and certified. I have professional background in the health care industry. Have taken CE courses in early childhood development.
