I had four great years nannying for two separate families. The first was for a single father who’s wife passed from colon cancer. His daughter was 6 years old when I began working for them. I did everything for the household that mom would have done and worked on average 50 hours a week. We were basically family, I even lived with them for two months during a transition period and also stayed at their house for a week at a time when dad had to leave for business trips.
The second family had two daughters ages 9 months and 2 years when I started working with them. Dad was a full time carpenter and mom was in school full time. I taught the girls necessary life skills, like walking, riding a bike, socializing at the park, and cleaning up after themselves.
It’s been a while, but I’m confident in my ability to care for children and the household. I am independent, dependable, timely, respectful, and easy to get along with.
