I’ve been a Nanny for 4 years while my family was stationed in Germany for my husbands Army career. I had the privilege of being invited into several German homes and provided care for their children. My families had infants all the way up to special needs 18 year olds.
I expect to be treated with respect and love and will treat people the same way.
I believe in schedules and chores. I enjoy making good healthy food for the families. I put every bit of my heart in helping these families. My goal is to make sure parents focus on work while I am looking after their little ones.
I believe that activities and learning should be done daily, if younger children are home and are too young for pre-K, I would teach them preschool requirements for
2 hours. This is with the parents permission of course.
My favorite placement was a military family of six children, four boys and two girls. They had a schedule set up that they kept after they moved back to the States. I love larger families and I am not afraid of those positions (although I do NOT know a fair prices to charge so if someone DOES know- please pass the message along.
People would ask me if I was overwhelmed having six children to Nanny and I would explain- the ease is IN the details and I had all things planned out perfectly. When the baby’s were taking their 2 hour nap- the preK children were going over an hour of lessons and taking their 1 hour quiet time.
It was all planning, and I would include the kids in the shopping, putting away, and food prep, they loved it
I believe this is what I am meant to do and I hope I find a family who needs help.
