Emma K.
Hi my name is Emily Medina, I’ve been working with children since the age of 13 when my mother had my little brother who was in and I see you for about two months. This required me to help my mother out with day-to-day chores and also childcare. I now need from the year 2015 to 2018 with a child who has special needs and was deaf therefore I learned ASL to better accommodate this family. Most of my childhood we spoke Spanish in the household although I am not completely fluent I do understand a lot of Spanish and can communicate adequately. I’m going to school for nursing specifically in pediatrics which is why I am interested in becoming a nanny. I enjoy working with all age groups although they all come with their different sets of challenges but I am a problem solver based on past work experiences I am currently a target security specialist which entails being able to handle difficult situations, de-escalation, and problem-solving. I have been CPR certified since I was 15 years old when I attended the Red Cross babysitting course which gave us basic life support training and CPR certification. I have since re-did my CPR certification in the year 2019 and I plan to go back again this year to practice my CPR to make sure I can provide a safe Environment.
I have taken Child psychology classes at front Range community college, childhood development, I am CPR certified, and basic life support trained, I did graduate high school with a 3.8 GPA
