My parents have run a very successful daycare from my home since I was a child. I grew up taking care of kids! I started babysitting since I was 12 and I loved it! I have younger siblings, one of which has non-verbal autism so I have had plenty of experience with children and teens with both mental and physical disabilities. I am very confident in my abilities to care for children. I have previously been a lifeguard and a CNA. My experiences in those jobs have also taught me a lot about caregiving.
