I love how curious and ambitious children tend to be. Encouraging kindness, respect, confidence are a few ways a child is really able to grow and flourish. I am grateful that I found my passion for children at young age! I have been working with children since the age of 14. I was a full time nanny for an infant over the summer. Later that year I got a job at a daycare center and worked there all through high school and college. In the summers throughout college I nannied for a few different families, ages ranging from 3-12. After college I went on to mange that same daycare center. I then decided I wanted to tryout working with children in a different setting. I began in the sioux falls school district as a substitute teacher. I am now in my second year as an education assistant for 3rd graders at a behavioral school. Through this new experience at the behavior school I have gained an interest of working with children, whom may have social, emotional, or learning disabilities. I have found that it is important to create a supportive environment for kids. Also having patience and understanding for the children you are working with is so important! Children are our future which is why I try to encourage them to be best versions of themselves!
I am a full time education assistant for 3rd graders at a behavioral school. Prior to this job, I was the manager of a daycare center and I was also in charge of creating the curriculum for our preschoolers.
