Megan H.
An individual who knows the importance of forming and maintaining a bond with children while exercising patience! I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Child Studies and spent ten years as a Head Teacher in the field of education. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as journalism.
As an educator, I have worked in the field of education for 10 years, creating and lesson plans and providing accommodation for children with special needs. I created IEP’s for children with autism who have speech and language delays and exhibit behaviors. In many cases, in addition to giving children two options, when they decide not to comply, I will use a lot of "first and then" statements.
Giving children two options can give them a sense of control and the ability to make their own decisions. As a person who has worked with children for many years, I can build a close and trusting relationship. When children can be trusted, that's when their abilities and all the skills they can master can be seen.
When it comes to parents, I believe in open communication and including the entire family. It's critical for parents to recognize and comprehend their child's progress, as well as future goals that can be worked on.
