Hello! I'm Ashley. I'm currently 26 years old . I currently am with a family right now m-f but i am looking for a new family that isn’t going to be 13+ hours a day. A little about me... I grew up in downtown Valparaiso. Ever since an early age, I found myself absolutely loving helping people. So at age 10, my mother started letting me care with her, she's a CNA, and for a couple years I helped her out a lot. Then at the age of 13, I started babysitting for my sister, then for my neighbors. By 15, a few years have passed and I just found myself loving and enjoying every second of looking after kids. At 16, I knew this was the career I wanted to pursue. I've been an experienced baby-sitter for 9 years. From February 2015 - March 2017 I was a nanny for a severely autistic child. Due to mother getting new job, things changed. My job was to cook him lunch/dinner, put down for a nap, taught him easy basic learning skills aside from his SELF school. I'm a very loyal, trustworthy, dependable, and a very motivated person. I always interact with kids. I never leave them unattended. I'm very active, that being said, I'm very responsible. I love building puzzles, reading, being outdoors, and much more. I plan to peruse my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I DO have a background check. I DO have reliable transportation. Some of my abilities are: -customer and personal service -interpersonal skills -critical thinking skills -active listening -service oriented -program/activity planning -conflict resolution -fast learner and self directed -social perceptiveness -judgement and decision making -monitoring -complex problem solving -time management I always maintain a very safe play environment and observe and monitor children's play activities. Also, I like to keep a clean, healthy environment and I can always sanitize the toys if needed or assist in preparing food and serving meals/refreshments to the children. I am NOT a smoker (I'm a very clean person and love a clean environment.) Please, don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you so much!
