Every since I can remember I have been surrounded by young children, coming from a family of 8. It wasn't until I was around 12 that I had the first babysitting job and I had known that I wanted a job involving kids. Originally I wanted a degree in Social Services but my heart is too big and I knew that I couldn't handle it, due to the fact that I would adopt every since one. From there I wanted to be a teacher but knew it didn't pay as much as other jobs, so I put it on the back burner. I proceeded to get an associate's degree in communications, but my heart was still stuck on working with children. I have decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in elementary education. I know that this is the path I am suppose to be on, and I wish to be a role model from my student like Erin Gruwell from 'Freedom Writers.' I would love to get a head start with my foot in the door and have this position.
