I have been working with kids since I was 12 years old. I first started babysitting in my neighborhood. Then I began teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding. I did that all through High School. In college, I swam competitively and in my last year of college I started caretaking children with special needs.
After college I taught Special education for two years before starting my own family. Raising my children was top priority for 12 years.
Then I started nannying. I love to teach- so being able to care for and teach the same children for a few years in a row was very rewarding. I follow and teach to the growth and development guidelines from the American Pediatric Society. I have also read many parenting books. Teaching and caring for children is my passion in life.
Bachelors degree in Special education with a focus in learning disabilities and behavior disorders.
Was a collegiate division 1 swimmer
Have had past experience with infants.
