In our program, we offer children a warm and nurturing environment—just like being at home. Our goal is to help children acquire important social, emotional, and behavioral skills that enable them to reach their developmental milestones. We focus on a variety of activities to provide a diverse education that fosters a love for learning. We are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering childcare services Monday through Friday. At our daycare and preschool, we provide a culturally diverse learning environment by offering a bilingual program in both English and Spanish. We utilize a curriculum based on daily developmental activities, where children discover a love not only for play but also for art and science. My name is Cristel Zambrano. I’m from Venezuela. I am an experienced caregiver with over 15 years of professional experience, and I am committed to providing the highest quality of childcare. I previously worked with the Ventura Unified School District at Lemon Grove Elementary School, specifically within the Special Needs department for the TK (Transitional Kindergarten) and K (Kindergarten) grade levels.
Thanks to my certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Early Childhood Education, I strike a balance between safety, education, and fun—aiming to equip children with the tools they need to thrive and achieve a bright, happy future.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Sciences.
I have experience in Special Education and Behavioral Support.
I utilize a Child Development-based curriculum.
Your child will not only receive care but will also be prepared for the moment they embark on their formal educational journey for the very first time. Our activities are grounded in the psychomotor and psychosocial development of each individual child, always keeping in mind that every child is unique and distinct.

Cristel’s Family Child Care & Preschool was established to foster curiosity and learning within a clean and safe environment. For your convenience and peace of mind, we are situated in the Del Rio neighborhood—a tranquil community where neighbors support one another and remain vigilant to ensure the safety of all residents. We also feature dedicated areas for learning and activities, including: a rest area, an art corner, a reading and writing zone, and both indoor and outdoor play areas. We operate in full compliance with all regulations set forth by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). Our staff is qualified in Child Development and holds all mandatory certifications for childcare, such as CPR, Mandated Reporter training, and Health & Safety training. We also possess specialized experience in the fields of Special Education and Behavioral Support.

Our Child Care & Preschool program accommodates infants, toddlers, and preschoolers; we accept both subsidized and private enrollment programs.
We currently have openings available for full-time, part-time, before-and-after-school care, and drop-in services.
