Welcome to Orchard Montessori! We offer children a nurturing and loving environment with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. Montessori is all about developing a solid foundation that promotes good academic skills, and fosters important social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Children learn to be independent, responsible and develop self-esteem that is essential to good development.
We have a theme-based curriculum that inspires curiosity. Subjects change monthly. A garden classroom will be added this spring. Children will learn about plants while growing and caring for fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs!

I have teaching in Montessori schools for 37 years. My experience includes teaching children from toddler age to first grade. I have trained interns, mentored teachers, and provided workshops to teachers and parents. I even toured China in 2019 giving Montessori workshops!
I am dedicated to my work with children. I love seeing them master skills and becoming self-confident as their abilities develop through their explorations.
I am happy to have made the move to an in-home program so I can focus on each child more individually.

I purchased my home in 2023. This house and the yard are just perfect for a little school!
I enlarged the living room to create a large classroom and furnished it with everything needed for 10 to 12 children to feel at home.
Out back there is a deck and patio for playground toys. The backyard has many mature fruit trees and space for a vegetable garden, planters and more room to play!
