I am passionate about teaching preschool! I have been working in the field of early childhood education for over 13 years. I am a member of NAEYC, CAEYC and hold a Child Development Associate in Preschool. After years of working in the public school system and "for profit" preschools, I decided to open my own classroom! I operate a home preschool which means small class sizes. My emphasis in on kindergarten readiness. We do lots of learning through hands-on activities such as dramatic play, science, cooking, music & movement and much more. I build my curriculum using studies that are meaningful to the preschool child. Each study includes opportunities to work on literacy, math, and social skills. Centers are a popular place in my classroom. Within each center are options for the children to read, write and practice various math applications.
