Kiddos Castle Daycare
I have always had a passion for education. I hold a Master's Degree in Computer Science and have worked in the IT sector. I have two beautiful children, an 14-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son, who both attended Montessori schools until kindergarten. Upon my introduction to the Montessori classroom, I became obsessed with the system of Maria Montessori. I did an Early Childhood Montessori Diploma program, and then after a year of interning, I started my own preschool in 2012.
My first preschool was held in my hometown of Seattle, but when I moved to San Diego, California with my family I started working as a teacher at a Montessori school. I was there for more than 2 years. I love to work with kids of all ages! My love for children and education are the reasons why I always volunteer at my children’s schools. Some examples of this volunteering at the Science Field Day (elementary school) and the Science Olympiad (middle school). I am not only a preschool teacher - I also teach at Bharathiyar Tamil School (BTS), run by San Diego Tamil Sangam (SDTS). I teach Indian classical art forms, such as Tanjore painting, Warli, Kalamkari, Madhubani, and others, to both children and adults. I have a diploma in Hatha Yoga and lots of experience in teaching kids the value of education and yoga. I am so excited to share these experiences with your children! Please take a look at my education and experience below:

I love my daycare. My son shows amazing progress in many different areas since starting Ms. Deepa's daycare. Friendly atmosphere which is amazing!
Our house is a set up in a Montessori preschool setting. This meaning that we have a detailed curriculum for the toddlers 2 1/2 - 6 years of age. They have a schedule with designated work and free play times. As Maria Montessori said "the goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn" therefore my focus is that children can learn in a playful way using everyday materials. I have a classroom and a playroom, which both have puzzles and small games to help the children learn about social-emotional development, sensory, language, art, math, and science. We strive to prove a welcoming and warm setting so that each child feels at home.
Daffodils Montessori is conveniently located in a family friendly neighborhood. There are often children and families out and about enjoying the sunshine and all the area has to offer! We are very close to the public library, YMCA and lush public parks. Great for the commuting parents, we are easily accessible to the freeway I-15 or CA-56 in less than 3 minutes.
