I have experience dealing with a large amount of kids for vast amounts of time ! My shifts would usually range from 8-12 hours depending on if there was after school, Ages 4-8 usually a class of 15-25 kids . During my experience throughout working in a daycare , private school , and summer camp over the last 3 years it taught me safety protocols , how to gain control of situations! How to console my students as well as try to teach them better . I prioritize a balance between play time , chill/snack time and then learning ! Sometimes play time and learning go hand in hand because it teaches kids to use their verbal skills as well as engaging abstract thoughts and ideas . It builds creativity as well aiding being social able . I’ve decided to go into caregiving because I felt like I personally have the energy to one keep up with young ones ! Two it’s something I enjoy I find myself laughing and learning a lot.. kids are smart!!! They usually end up answering their own questions if they ask enough. And thirdly it’s all I known career wise so it makes the most sense for me! I drive and will be able to pick up and drop off if needed ! I accommodate to which ever preference the family prefers when it comes to food . I can cook pretty much all the things I can imagine a toddler enjoying, chicken nuggets (yes even the Dino shaped ones ) , sandwiches, Mac & cheese , salads , smoothies , rice I’ll even find something for the picky eaters . I enjoy taking my students out to the park, we’ve been to museums , children based theme parks , Lego land!! These are all places I’m open to bringing your children too If I’m given the opportunity too!
Been working at a daycare since I was 16 ! then went on to be a group “ teacher” at a private school/ daycare for ages 5-8. Also did summer camps for 2 summers in a row for YMCA Certified in Red Cross CPR course , certified in First aid as well as water safety !
