My mother owned her own child care facility for most of my life, and from as early as I can remember, I was always helping her. I assisted with watching the children, cooking, cleaning, and doing whatever was needed. When I turned 16, I became even more involved, helping care for the children, supporting their learning, and assisting with after-school activities. Not long after my mother had to close her daycare due to medical reasons, I began working at another daycare, Granny’s Love Daycare. Through all of these experiences, I’ve developed a deep love for working with children. That passion has inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare, and I am currently in school working toward becoming a pediatric nurse.
