To me a caregiver must have patience, kindness, be detail-oriented, problem solvers, and have good listening skills. I am confident that I have many of these qualities. I always try to engage the kids I am caring for in mini activities that get their brain working and bodies moving. Ever since I was only a kid myself, my family would trust me to watch over the younger kids as they ran their errands. I was always given the nurturing title in my family since I am always caring for the babies in my family. Although I never worked as a professional caregiver, I offered babysitting services to my friends, family, and coworkers throughout the years. As I am currently in school for Exercise Science, I am qualified in first aid training as well as working on my CPR certification. These skills are important to obtain especially when caring for younger kids as anything can happen and it is always best to be prepared!
